Sold Hydraulic Components & Systems to customers throughout the USA & Canada. • Key program successes included General Dynamics LAV, AAAV, & ground robotics programs, United Defense M88 program, and Raytheon / Lockheed Martin EELV, a large multi-million dollar system for raising rockets to the launch pad at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg Air Force Base.• Developed marketing strategies and system discount pricing to beat the competition. • Conceived circuit designs and application approaches which won contracts based on technical merit and going beyond customer defined needs. This was often based on best value and not lowest cost.• Led Project / Sales Team to win application for Hydraulic System to raise the “EELV” Rocket from the horizontal position to vertical. Multi-million dollar system was successfully installed at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg Air Force Base. A hydraulic power unit, computerized control system, and dual redundant telescoping cylinders were provided to each launch pad.• Led Team in Hydraulic Hybrid Heavy Wheeled Trucks, coordinating German engineering team and US affiliated customers which later turned into a joint venture.• Sold pumps, valves, manifolds and hydraulic power units for robotic defense applications.• Developed innovative hydraulic circuits to save power and weight for armored personnel carriers. • Provided Reliable High Speed Hydraulic Motors, Pumps and Valves to drive engine cooling fans for military vehicles. The system efficiency was vastly increased by controlling fan speed proportional to radiator fluid temperature using a pressure regulated pump and thermal back pressure valve. Fan speed is proportional to torque which in turn is proportional to delta pressure across the hydraulic motor.
