Three-time Emmy Award winning journalist & storyteller turned media freedom advocate. With more than 30 years of international journalism and media leadership experience, I am passionate about promoting press freedom and defending journalists' rights worldwide. I currently lead the Rory Peck Trust, a non-profit organisation that supports freelance journalists in crisis situations, as its Executive Director.In this role, I work with a Board of Trustees to agree the organisation's strategy, and am responsible for fundraising, governance, and operational delivery. I serve as a Non-Executive Director for the Committee to Protect Journalists, where I chair the Journalist Assistance Committee and oversee the allocation of emergency grants to journalists in distress. I also advise boards and executive leadership teams on strategic communications, digital transformation, global affairs, and contemporary media issues, drawing on my extensive expertise and network in the media industry.
