After being founder, owner and producer of renowned production company Lemming Film for over 20 years, Joost established a new company in 2016, called: An Original Picture.Joost has been CEO Business and Legal of Lemming Film and all its subsidiaries until 2016. Having built one of the most successful film and television production companies in Europe, and establishing a considerable personal track record in international feature films and television series, he felt that there were other challenges, yet unknown, to discover and explore.With An Original Picture, Joost will be able to work more closely with exceptional filmmakers with international ambitions and potential. Sharing risks and involving partners from different territories in the development, production, financing and distribution is a way as independent, to be able to work on productions with top writing talent, creative packages and production values, all of which are needed to prevail in today’s competitive market.Since 2017 Joost has also become managing director of the European post production workshop EP2C; a unique training program dedicated to improving producers’ knowledge about film post production. Besides that, he works for the Dutch insurance company No Risk On Set, providing risk assessment and monitoring film productions of a certain scale and complexity for their completion bond product.
