Responsible for the financial planning of the Category of Office & School (Stationery) within a department store company, V&D.On a daily basis this means responsibility for budgeting, planning, in season management (managing OTB), price and markdown management and (re)allocation of articles.Also responsible for managing and supporting a group of Assistant Planners.Supporting the Planning Manager with analyses, figures and forecasting. Supporting the Buyer with assortment planning and assortment analysis.

Supporting (Senior) Buyers with assortment planning and assortment analysis.

For the Buying & Merchandising department of Stationery, Luggage, Toys I've been a merchandiser (a.k.a. planner).- co-responsible for an annual turnover of approximately 13 mln euros- responsible together with the Buyer for forecasting (OTB management) and assortment planning - responsible for shelf availibility (seasonal and never-out-of-stock articles), planning and distribition of products to maximize sales within the department stores- managing stock health through mark down management and promotional activities within budgets and forecasts- experienced in attaining and maintaining healthy stock levels, especially with seasonal product groups like calenders, christmas articles and back to school products- analyzing sales, stock and (gross) margins of products

For the Buying & Merchandising department of Books, Entertainment & Consumer Electronics I'm involved in projects:- analyzing profitability based on shelf space and product categories- integrating new consignment partners into the V&D organisation, strongly focusing on IT-project management

The traineeship included:- management experience in four department stores- project management for e-commerce and buying & merchandising divisions, including Kids Fashion - a personal development program - workshops, including subjects as Logistics, Finance, Marketing, Customer relations
