• Objective - Hired to manage a portfolio of existing events for the financial services sector (some of which had stagnated revenue and attendance), and to launch commercially viable new events.• Events - Real Estate Private Equity, Real Estate Mezzanine Financing, Specialty Finance, Independent Sponsors, Securitisation, Distressed Debt...• Core roles - Sole responsibility for identifying gaps in the market (new topic selection), event production, and expansion into new geographies. Researched with the target market, wrote programmes and web copy, generated leads, worked closely with colleagues to deliver commercially successful events. Trained and mentored a junior producer.• Results - Doubled revenue on the company's bi-annual US real estate series. Brought this event to the European market, exceeding targets for delegate registrations and sponsorship revenue. Conceptualised and launched new events for the alternative lending / private equity sectors - each launch event turned a solid net profit; and revenue increased by an average of 60% between the first and second iterations.

Researched with the target market, wrote programmes and web/email copy, generated leads, worked closely with colleagues to deliver commercially successful events.• Results - Launch events included the 'Gold Investment Forum', which exceeded targets for both delegate numbers and sponsorship revenue. Repeat events included 'CTCs / Circulating Tumour Cells' (35% revenue growth compared with previous event) and 'LNG-Fuelled Shipping' (65% revenue growth compared with previous event).

• Objective - Hired specifically to create a new portfolio of conferences for in-house legal counsel.• Core roles - Event production, including: research with the target market, writing of programmes and web/email copy, generation of new leads, and collaboration with colleagues to deliver commercially successful events.• Results - Each launch event in the portfolio attracted between 40-60 paid delegates, and generated impressive sponsorship revenue. The portfolio and the network of contacts that I built successfully established the company’s reputation within the ‘in-house lawyer’ field.

• Objective - One year producing Oil & Gas conferences; then set up a new Financial Services portfolio for the company.• Core roles - production and growth of both new- and repeat events, including: * Liability-Driven Investment (launch: 110 paid delegates, £250k sponsorship revenue) * Portfolio Diversification with Commodities (launch: 65 paid delegates; £60k sponsorship revenue) * Inflation-Linked Fixed Income (launch: 60 paid delegates; £45k sponsorship revenue) * Hedge Fund for Pension Fund (established series, which took place annually in the UK, Amsterdam and Stockholm: average of 50 paid delegates and £50k sponsorship revenue)• Results - At a time when I wasn’t allocated a sponsorship manager, on top of my production function I independently raised £100k in sponsorship revenue over the course of three months. By the time I left IQPC, the Financial Services team was the second most profitable division within the company.
