As the Regional Leader for HR, I was the HRBP to the EVP Sales (Beijing based) and his Leadership team as well as leading the APJ HRBPs (3), HRAs (2) and the TA team (4). I covered 10 countries and was responsible for aligning the people strategy with the business strategy as well as implementing global people initiatives and ensuring policy compliance across all countries.

I commenced with Symantec as an HRBP for ANZ supporting the Technical Support, Services, Consumer (Norton), Finance and IT functions. I led programs relating to superannuation, OH&S, WorkChoices, and D&I. In 2007, the HR organisation evolved and I was asked to take on an APJ role supporting the Symantec Services Group which comprised of IT, Services and Technical Support. In this role, I provided strategic support to the VPs and their directs across APJ while also remaining hands-on.

I was responsible with assisting the ANZ HR Manager in administering a broad range of HR activities and programs across the ANZ operation. In January 2003, I was promoted to ANZ HR Manager where I acted as a consultant and advocate to both management and people. I worked to maintaining an effective and respected HR function and a healthy work environment and focused on continuous improvement of HR programs.
