I am a mechanical and electrical apprentice engineer for Arcadis. Within my role I am responsible for numerous building service projects spread across UK. In these projects, I take a lead role in designing complex systems including lighting, small power, ventilation, LTHW heating and much more. I also run and attend one to one client meetings for each project where I discuss the best strategy and offer expert advice. In this role I bring a high level of professionalism, with meeting deadlines on time and to a high standard.At Arcadis I work in a team of 10 which is based in Manchester and Birmingham. In my time are Arcadis I have developed myself as a crucial member of the team, showing my drive and willingness to reach my goals. In my time I have confidently shown I am more than capable of working with other on a variety of projects as well as working independently on designs and specifications. Since working with Arcadis, I have developed greater knowledge of different software's being highly skilled in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Relux, Dialux and Amtec. As well as this, I attend Leeds College of Building once a week where I am working towards my Masters in Building Services. I thrive in balancing my work and studies throughout the year achieving highly in both.

I have received excellent feedback on both my work standards and accuracy which has resulted in a plan to be trained in all aspects of the Business which has been scheduled for 2017.I work under my own initiative and have trained other staff.

I work in a team of 3, managing energy usage with our wireless energy management systems for various customers (for example Boots, Matalan, Dunelm, GAP etc.).My role involves ensuring we optimise the energy saving benefits for our customers.I am responsible for managing my own workload with minimal supervision and producing weekly and monthly reports for Management. I have to prioritise my time, ensure accuracy and attention to detail whilst meeting deadlines.I use MS Office Suite on a daily basis and various other in house systems. In addition to my technical experience increasing, my customer facing skills have developed by dealing with customer issues both over the telephone and onsite visits, following up with documented reports which has helped develop the relationship with the customer. After only being with the Company a few months I was given the responsibility of managing new customers as they came online and ensuring everything ran smoothly, which was a responsibility I am very proud of.

Whilst in fulltime further education I was also a part time Customer Service Officer for the Royal Bank of Scotland working 11½ hours per week. This made me more responsible as I constantly handled people’s finances offering them the best advice I could.I always arrived early so I could help set up and be fully prepared for the Bank opening and frequently worked additional hours when required.This has helped me develop as a better team player working with colleagues older than myself and has been good experience for me adapting to new environments and experiences. Moreover, with my position, I constantly achieved my objectives and deadlines as I have done with my practical and coursework in engineering.As a competent CSO, I am proud to say I was teaching and educating newly appointed staff, which is a tremendous honour as I feel privileged to be able to have trained colleagues older than me. Throughout my time at the Bank I performed consistently having no cash errors, working to a high accuracy levels which I transferred to my practical work in engineering.I have received a high level of positive feedback directed to my line manager from customers I personally served.
