Thoroughly enjoy working in engineering and furthering my skills and abilities in all aspects of electrical and electronics engineering.Head of Sensors and founding member of Team Bath Biodevices, a Vertically Integrated Projected at the University of Bath, which has the goal to tackle some of the UN Sustainable Development Goals through the use of biosensors. The current project is to create a water quality sensor for use in unstable water conditions in underserved nations. Interned at CMR Surgical as a Verification Engineer for 13 months, gaining a deep understanding and knowledge of test processes and considerations. Lead investigations into issues with the Versius System and presented findings in regular meetings with senior leadership and wrote reports on the findings of my tests.

Head Of SensorsTeam Bath: Biodevices Without Borders Feb 2021 - PresentBath, England, United KingdomOne of the founding members of Team Bath Biodevices (TBB) with 5 like-minded students and Dr Despina Moschou as academic supervisor. The purpose of TBB is to design, manufacture and distribute biodevices which can tackle issues highlighted in UN Sustainable Development goals. Our current project is to create a water quality sensor, using a Lab-on-Chip design approach, for use in unstable water conditions in underserved nations. TBB operates as a charitable organisation and seeks no profit. Currently TBB has grown to a size of over 20 students and I have earned the position of Head of Sensors.I have lead research and development into pH sensor design, working in a chemical lab cleanroom to manufacture these sensors by drop casting CuO nano particles onto an electrode then performing performance testing. I chair meetings and present my work and research to the team and other academics regularly. In June 2023 I flew to South Africa to meet with academics in Stellenbosch University we've gained contact with who share our goals to tackle the water quality issues that are present in local communities and townships. Professional relationships were establish, further refinement of our product specification was done and initial field testing completed. -
Verification EngineerCmr Surgical Jun 2021 - Jul 2022Cambridge, England, United KingdomJob mainly consisted of testing and getting hands on experience with the Versius Surgical Robot to verify its performance against internally and externally enforced requirements, such as IEC 60601-1 and ISO 13482. Spent 11 months in the Verification department and 2 months in the Electronics department.Key Responsibilities• Wrote, updated and followed Test Protocols which verified the performance of the Versius System.• Wrote Test Reports on the findings of Test Protocols which would be used in applications to international agencies for approval of use in their country.• Investigated issues with the System and presented findings to senior leadership.• Collaborated with members of other departments on projects which I had expertise in.Greatest Achievements• Lead a 3 month investigation into the effects of 3kV electrosurgery on the system where I presented regular update meetings with the Head of Electronics and Head of Mechanical Engineering. The results of my investigations lead to me writing a Test Memorandum on my findings, creating an entirely new Test Protocol for 3kV electrosurgery and recommendations being made for an updated User Manual to improve user experience and safety.• During my time in the Electronics department, I assisted in EMC validation for the system and spent a few days testing in an anechoic chamber. I gained an understanding and knowledge of what design choices have an impact on EMI and how to correct them. As a result, the system was able to pass its EMC validation. -
Machine Learning InternUniversity Of Bath Jun 2020 - Sep 2020I designed a program using a deep neural network and TensorFlow with the aim to reduce the noise and artefacts present in X-ray CT images. The purpose of this task is to allow X-ray scans to be done whilst using roughly 10% of the normal intensity of radiation as this makes it safer for the X-ray specialist. I had no previous experience with machine learning or TensorFlow so I had to research and educate myself on how to effectively use this extremely powerful programming technique. -
Brand AmbassadorFreelance Jul 2016 - Jan 2020A brand ambassador covers a huge variety of roles and responsibilities, all of which work towards the end goal of promoting a brand, product, company, event or message. I have worked as a project manager of a small team of 5, a host for events, salesman, product sampler, bar staff and others. The core skills obtained from all these jobs have been extremely strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively both in a team and independently, salesmanship skills and, when working in a managerial position, great organisation and decisive decision making.
