Coordinates and administers a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR functions. Works in conjunction with, and under the general direction of, HR or local management to develop, manage, and/or administer the organization’s programs in areas such as employee relations, employment law, recruitment, training, organizational development, and total rewards. Ensures compliance with legal and institutional policies, guidelines, and regulations. Has the authority to perform or to effectively recommend the following actions: hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, assign work, reward, discipline, direct the work of other employees, and adjust grievances. Mentors/coaches or provides guidance; lead project teams, committees and/or other collaborative efforts; interview applicants; assign, schedule, direct work, and/or evaluate the work of colleagues and/or coworkers; supervise student employees.
