I'm responsible for generating bills of materials and drawing packages based on input from customers and other departments within the company. A large component of my job is communication, both internal and external. I communicate with salespeople, customer delivery managers, buyers, other engineers, plant managers, QA managers, customer inspectors, and others.I also helped get Trinity's Sustainable Railcar Conversion program up and running, where we take an existing railcar that's not being used, scrap the body, salvage as many parts as we can, and build a new body that's more suitable for today's market. Instead of paying storage fees for an unused asset, now the customer can put it back to work and earn money with it, without paying the full price for a new railcar. This process requires exacting attention to detail from beginning to end; the success of the program depends on our ability to accurately identify which components can be reused, and I developed a framework to make that easier to track.Computer use is an integral part of my daily job functions. I use AutoDesk Design Review extensively, as well as Vault, Inventor, AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, Word, and SalesForce. I have had some experience with Inventor NASTRAN. I worked as a CAD operator for a few months. Sometimes I write VBA scripts to make things easier for myself and my colleagues.

My responsibilities included managing and creating models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks, updating operation manuals for industrial laundry machinery, and designing a control panel for an automated laundry shuttle.

I have been teaching violin lessons for several years. I have taught a wide range of students, from complete beginners to people who are already proficient on another instrument, and from young children to older adults.

My job at MIC Group consisted mostly of designing fixtures for machining complex parts; using SolidWorks to create process drawings from customer prints; working with programmers, machinists, and outside vendors to produce manufacturing routings; and keeping track of customer revision changes. MIC Group uses a wide variety of CNC machines, and machines parts from exotic materials such as Inconel and Stellite. They have locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Mexico, and Malaysia.

My work primarily involved designing winch assemblies for Artex's custom wireline units. I designed in AutoCAD, and often went out into the shop to answer questions about my designs and ensure that they were being executed correctly.

My job as an SI was to hold meetings two or three times a week to help students with homework and test preparation for AC and DC Electricity classes. I also attended the class with them, and periodically met with the professor to talk about how I could best help both him and the students. This service was free to the students; I was paid by the school. I was told many, many times by students that I was very helpful in improving their understanding of the subject matter, as well as their grades. I enjoyed this job very much.

This was a summer job I took to make some extra money. I operated attractions such as laser tag, go kart racing, bumper boats, and a rock climbing wall.
