I am currently a Senior Afro-American Studies Major at Howard University. I chose my major because of an African-American Studies class I took my senior year, which gave me a thirst for more knowledge about not only people who look like me, but also about how the world operates in the many different facets of the human experience. My main goal for my career is to become a music producer, but my creativity will not allow me to box myself in. I'm interested in so many other aspects of both the music and entertainment industry as a whole. My previous experiences with musical entertainment both as a creative, and entrepreneur gave me invaluable skills. I was the co-founder of the "Audio Visual Festival" at my high school, which was a fundraising event focused on showcasing music and visual entertainment that was created by students. Being in charge of audio editing the files submitted for the festival, organizing the venue, and planning additional activities allowed me to acquire new leadership skills, as well as refine my skills as a music producer. I am also a skilled writer, having experience as a member of the editorial board of my high school's diversity publication "Stubborn Ounces", as well as being a contributor to my high school newspaper "The World". I have also had my poetry displayed at a Howard student led art exhibition at both Howard University, and the Dupont Underground in Washington D.C. I am also the creator/founder of Always in the Lab LLC, a business which provides audio production services specializing in musical compositions and audio engineering.
