My name is Jordan Mathis, and I am a junior majoring in Biology and minoring in Social Justice Theory at St. John's University in Queens, New York. I am currently a Physical Therapy Tech at Brown Rogers Physical Therapy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a regular volunteer at NYU Langone, Sage Outpatient, and WeSpeakNYC along with other facilities. I also work in the Athletic Marketing department at St. John's during the school year. I enjoy expressing my passions for leadership, travel, social justice, and music through a variety of outlets, including my work in the Ozanam Scholars Program and my job as a vocalist in a rock band. In addition, I am completing a Capstone research project that aims to answer the question of how healthcare for children and infants with diseases, disabilities, and illnesses can become more economically practical for families in Limón, Ecuador. I am an aspiring Physician Assistant and singer who is open to opportunities for growth, overcoming challenges, expanding my knowledge, creating positive change, and collaborating with other members in my field.
