I oversee two youth programs focused around serving underprivileged youth across Buncombe, Madison, and Transylvania Counties. One program is specifically for foster youth ages 14-21 and provides 1:1 goal coaching and financial assistance, and the other program is in 8 local high schools and teaches life and job readiness skills. This program also provides a paid summer internship in the community that is dependent on each student's career interest. I manage a staff of 5 people, and therefore leadership, organization, and communication skills are of the utmost importance in my role.

Assisted with the OneLife Program which teaches high school students life and job readiness skills during their spring semester of school, and then provides a paid internship in the community that is specific to their career field of interest.

Traveled around the country representing the magazine and 10 different outdoor gear brands. I created a video series about places to backpack around the country while using and advocating for the products of our brand sponsors as well as coordinate schedules with local outdoor gear shops to do in-person tours of their facility to showcase amazing shops around the country.

Supervised the OneLife program and managed 3 staff to ensure program execution, growth and success.

Led a student development program called OneLife in 3 local high schools. This program goes into the schools and teaches students about real world job readiness skills as well as general life skills that are not traditionally taught in school. After the 14- week curriculum is complete, all active students are paired with a local business that is in their specific career field of interest to receive a paid summer internship that is paid by us at Goodwill.
