Growing up I always had a desired to help people. I had a lot of experience early on being able to volunteer in our church nursery to helping babysit for friends and family. I have always enjoyed learning as well. Academics are very important to me and bettering myself to be better equipped is something I pursue. Nursing is something I knew that would fit my personality and desire to help others. Throughout college I have strived to excel at my classes to provide the best care and quality to patients and hospitals with who I am interacting with. I have gained much professional experience through clinical experience in the PRISMA and Greenville hospital systems around Bob Jones University. Through my clinical experience I have seen myself excel in my NICU and Pediatric care. I have many clinical hours of experience working with pediatric and NICU nurses and have been able to take care of pediatric patients as well.While in college I was able to work as a Pharmacy Technician. This job helped me gain valuable experience with drug handling, medication quality, counting, and providing professional care to customers. I believe this has given me a competitive advantage because of the familiarity I now have with prescription medications which are used constantly in healthcare systems. I am very excited to be joining the nursing industry shortly as well as completing my nursing licenses.
