Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the railway within an assigned territory and for effectively coordinating the movement of freight, commuter and inter-city passenger trains using effective planning and scheduling techniques. Ensures on-track forces receive the maximum available time to perform maintenance work and inspections while avoiding delay to the scheduled train movements. Working in this high stress and fast paced position, duties include dispatching emergency crews to respond to a variety of different scenarios including but not limited to fires, floods, sewer back ups, wind damage, break and enters, etc. Creating and maintaining detailed files on each of these claims through the aid of computer project management software. Coordinating the restoration work of both residential and commercial properties, creating purchase orders and dealing with accounts payable, working within budgetary guidelines (job-cost analysis) are all daily job duties. Also, working on special projects, such as the development of a new Graffiti Removal Department, was another major component of my position.

Originally hired by this service outsourcer for residential and commercial customers to oversee and work with a team of cleaning technicians in the Disasters Restoration Department; quickly promoted to spearhead all warehouse and storage operations for raw materials, vehicles, equipment, and supplies as Warehouse and Operations Manager. Also managed off-site jobs/emergency operations (tear outs, mould remediation, etc) including liaising with insurance adjusters, fellow coordinators and estimators, monitoring job-sites, speaking with home owners, utilizing a 24 hour/7 days a week on-call/pager system.
