From working in the IT industry I have built a genuine passion for making systems and communications better but most importantly, more secure. Innovation is a key element of every business which I aspire to add value to in all of my roles as I am constantly looking for new innovative ideas which can change the way we work. My current role covers a vast range of activities, problem solving, threat investigations and app deployments, just to name a few. I thoroughly enjoy analysing data and configuring SIEM’s to create the output to ensure our team can easily identify any malicious activity. I am currently leading on a number of projects within my role now as I am keen to better myself in all aspects of my career, from leading other members of my team and taking the responsibility to deliver good quality projects.Using my experience in Protective Monitoring I have been assigned a leading role on a numerous of projects for data onboarding, report/alert creation and threat hunting whilst also supporting and managing different platforms of which two are Splunk Clusters.I have completed my Splunk Fundamentals 1 and Fundamentals 2 exams which given me a greater insight into Splunk which has allowed me to use this knowledge in my day to day activities. I am now a Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin which has made a huge impact to the work I am doing in my role, moving more into the backend/configuration side of Splunk. I intended to further my knowledge by completing more courses as my experience grows while working in my current team. I am working on different SIEM environments every day, with different operating systems, such as Windows and Linux which is allowing me to better my knowledge and expertise. This allows me to troubleshoot more complex problems which arise across any of the three instances. I am confident that I can succeed in any role as my passion for security will drive me to develop my current skillset and expand further into the industry.
