Engages with library partners and ByWater staff to drive Aspen forward by imagining then building the future for our library communities. Understands that patron expectations are set by the software they use in their everyday lives and therefore researches and analyzes those expectations, tools, and patterns to make recommendations that will delight patrons and library staff.

Spearheaded Vega Discover including responsibility for the product roadmap and the Development Partner Program. Presented Vega Discover and the Vega Platform to libraries, technology partners, and internal staff. Led the design, user experience, and accessibility of all features.

Product lead for greenfield library marketing platform. Led requirements gathering and definition, product and competitive research, technology partnerships, and library relationship management.

Responsible for product roadmaps, specifications, and project management for the Pika Discovery Layer and the award-winning Marmot Digital Archive. Worked with librarians and end users to identify and prioritize all new features. Managed all Digital Archive activities including assisting libraries with project implementation, configuration, training, and technical support. Provided training to all libraries on Pika. Worked with Discovery Partners on new implementations and training.

Responsible for the planning, selection, development, and implementation of new and existing digital services for the library. Completed all development for the library website and contributed CSS to the library's online catalog. Managed the library Technology Trainer.

Provided leadership, direction, and creative development for the library’s online presence and technology services. Administered the library’s main website, five additional public websites, and several internal sites. Managed the library’s diverse digital collections. Wrote and supervised the adoption of all technical specifications for those collections. Collaborated with groups both inside and outside the library to accomplish strategic goals. Responsible for hiring and managing a staff of six including another manager.

Performed lead role in coordinating the design, creation, and maintenance of the library’s digital initiatives. Assessed appropriate standards, policies, and procedures for application to the library’s digital projects and ensured continued development and maintenance of the library’s digital initiatives, including projects related to the digitization of historical content, digital resources targeted for special groups, digital collections including online databases, and joint digital projects with partner organizations.

Created and taught English writing and conversation classes to upper-level undergraduate students. Collaborated with other lecturers and professors on course content and teaching methods. Gained insight and experience working in a different cultural context.

Organized and taught information literacy classes for local schools. Researched the information needs of the local young adult population, created and supervised programs for teenagers at the library. Initiated new library programs. Marketed programs within the community and online. Performed reference and circulation duties for patrons of all ages. Assisted in hiring library personnel.

Trained and supported other Teach For America English teachers. Organized and led monthly meetings. Prepared resources and activities. Counseled and supervised teachers on instruction and classroom management.

Led 182 students to a high level of achievement, accomplishing a 93% pass rate on the state’s writing exam, surpassing the school-wide average by 20%. Students averaged two years gain in reading over one year (2003-2004 school year as measured by the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test). Wrote 2003-2004 scope and sequence for all 10th grade English classes. Nominated for Teacher of the Year (2004) and Rookie Teacher of the Year (2003)
