Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages the fleet productivity using critical performance indicators.Tracks on-time pickup/delivery percentages, out-of-service percentages, miles per month per truck, driver turnover percentages, revenue per truck per week, out-of-route miles, and service failuresAccurately manages ETAs, PTAs and DRIs. Meets load requirementsAssumes ownership for each load from the point of dispatch to the point of delivery. Dispatches complete and accurate load information at all times.Satisfies all border crossing, port loading, nuclear site pick up/deliveries or other unique requirements.Attaches, locates and loads the correct trailers.Manages the personal, training, and service needs of an assigned fleet of drivers.Coordinates drivers' service-related needs to monitor service issues (i.e., permits, service failures, tickets) by proactively minimizing and resolving problems.Manages DOT-regulated issues by coordinating compliance with drug tests, log hours, and other safety-related matters, providing direction and ensuring scheduled completion and/or resolution.Recommends and implements appropriate plans for improvement where necessary. Communicates fleet needs with internal partners.Notifies CSRs and Planners if assistance is necessary to meet customer expectations.Communicates with internal partners when there are changes to a load.Coordinates Y-Splits with Planners.Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.CompetenciesMust be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently.Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.
