I have worked as a Revenue Cycle Analyst for the past 5 years and a Billing and Insurance specialist for two years before that. I have completed my HFMA – CRCR certification and maintain my HFMA membership. My current responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of computer systems related to the revenue cycle. This includes maintenance of a test system that mirrors the live system to ensure the effectiveness of the system functionally as it pertains to Patient accounting as well as Patient access workflows. Testing of maintenance patches and training staff regarding system enhancements. Provide computer support related to productivity reporting and ad hoc data analysis. I previously worked in and maintained a Meditech Billing system, however, during the year 2013 and up through current I have been the team lead for designing and implementing the Cerner Patient Accounting solution, as well as assisted with Charge master, Patient Access, and HIM. I am an active member of my hospitals Revenue Cycle Steering committee, Compliance Committee, and Revenue Integrity.
