Contrary to popular belief, failure is an option. There is no perfect way to achieve your goals; no perfect path to take; no sure-fire way to succeed in life. Without a tolerance for failure, nobody has the opportunity to succeed. Every decision we make bares consequences, some negative and some positive. These choices change our path, and shape who we are both mentally and physically. Take risks, seize opportunities, and strive for excellence. Sometimes you fail, sometimes you succeed. In doing so, you gain life experiences that can never be forgotten. I've made an uncountable amount of decisions in my lifetime, some high-risk, some low. Some of these include relocating to a new state, seizing a career opportunity to pursue a passion, losing 38 lbs. in a single year, and I’ve even run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. These experiences in life have made me who I am today; a natural, charismatic leader who is committed to success. I’ve always held myself to high standards, whether in the work environment or part of my personal life. As a registered 10-handicap golfer, gym enthusiast, and avid snowboarder, I've committed to bettering myself through perseverance, training, and hard work. These qualities follow me into the workplace, where I can create and maintain strong, working relationships with coworkers and clientele alike. When rationalizing my future, I set goals not only tremendously high, but also indefinitely attainable. Many people dream of ‘changing the world’ or ‘being somebody important,’ but never have the drive or motivation to achieve those dreams. I’m not here to ‘change the world’ (per se), or become a billionaire philanthropist, I'm here because I am devoted to success. I've made my mistakes and I've learned from them and others’. I've taken risks, and gained invaluable experiences from every consequence of them. I'm not scared of who I am, nor of what lies ahead. My name is Jordan Shields, and my intention is to achieve greatness.
