I completed various basic drug concept discovery projects for the immunology and inflammation research department. My primary research project focused on the development and optimization of an assay to measure AAV transduction efficiency in various mammalian cells lines and primary cells. Other work included antibody validation through transfection, protein expression and purification, and western blot analysis. Routine lab work included cell culture and MSD/ELISA assays.

As a collaboration with the Department of Defense, I conducted literature searches and reviews, interviews with representative companies, and worked with a partner to identify and evaluate alternative meat technologies and their viability for field applications. We evaluated chemical properties of protein isolates in relation to their use in meat analogues, shelf-stability, as well as tech-readiness levels (TRLs) for the technology itself.
