Managed all aspects of laboratory activities at a privately-owned environmental remediation company specializing in environmental forensic studies of complex, multi-source systems, especially involving coal tar, petroleum products, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs), and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDDs/PCDFs). Preparation and extraction of toxic substances from soil and water matrices, utilizing multiple extraction techniques: accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), ultrasound-assisted extraction, solid phase microextraction (SPME), liquid-liquid extraction, solid phase extraction (SPE), and acid-base titration. Maintenance and operation of gas chromatograph and other essential diagnostic laboratory equipment. Evaluation and delivery of gas chromatography results to clients ahead of designated turn times.
