About Jordan Millar
Having recently graduated from the National University of Ireland Galway with a Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Law, I am currently preparing to step up to the next chapter of my career wherein I will enter the world of consulting, business strategy, as well as coaching and leadership.Over the course of my secondary school and university experience, I participated in competitive debating competitions around the world having competed both nationally and internationally. Throughout this 8 year period, my team and I won several competitions and speaker awards, as well as secured a position on the Irish International delegation to compete in both Mexico and Thailand. These experiences largely contributed to the development of my critical thinking, problem solving, and presentation skills, but also delivered confidence and leadership skills that would prove to be just as valuable. Throughout this time I was also developing my undergraduate degree in selecting modules that I felt aligned with my career and ambitions in order to gain an understanding in fields such as marketing, business, finance, as well as corporate strategy. Having both a passion for and understanding of these fields, I have chosen to pursue a career in business strategy and consulting in order to deliver real impact and value to my clients over the course of my career. Throughout my final year of university, I became heavily involved with the NUIG Consultants and Entrepreneurs Society wherein I served as both the Vice President and Head of Client Projects. This provided opportunities to develop leadership, accountability, and complex problem solving in both leading the society as well as running the client project department. In this role I became the first member of the Irish Student Consulting Group to ever sign a client at branch level, as I successfully signed a client, developed a 3-deliverable client project to run over 9 weeks, interviewed and selected both Junior and Senior Consultants to form the project team, developed a final recommendations report, and even saw practical growth in the clients operations where our report led to the rapid development of the client's youtube channel and saw thousands of subscribers join the membership.I also was involved in the society's consulting case competition team wherein we were provided with business scenarios and asked to provide consulting based presentations while competing against several other teams. During this year I went undefeated in winning several competitions, and led my team to a National Championship Victory.
