I've just completed my B.A in Immunology (Biological and Biomedical Sciences) in Trinity College Dublin. During my final year I undertook a research capstone project in the Ed Lavelle Lab. The aim of the project was to look at the effects of diameter of PLGA-particle size on the inflammatory phenotype of macrophages, and their ability to induce "trained-immunity". This was followed by a thesis write up, as well as a presentation and a poster.
