VBS's endoarterial biopsy catheter is the world's first interventional device to obtain a biopsy sample from the inner layers of an artery in a minimally invasive fashion. Biopsies obtained help better diagnose, monitor, and treat vascular-based diseases.- Designed, prototyped, and led testing of an accessory devices to stabilize catheter during biopsy retrieval process. Implementation resulted in 40% increase in biopsy retrieval rate and played a critical role in obtaining FDA clinical trial approval.- Created experiments to audit manufacturing process stability. Analyzed results, made process and manufacturing fixture improvements, resulting in decrease of material scrap and decrease in manufacturing cycle time.-Managed and mentored team of four engineering interns.
