Lead Product Manager (Technical) for Device Accessories. Drove strategic development of new V0/V1 products, next generation products, and technology/materials through investigation and productization. Oversaw accessories roadmap for Echo, Tablet, and eReader product lines.

End-to-End Product Design of four V0/V1 form factor products (all 4+ star rated products):-Echo Dot, Dot with Clock, Dot Kids Edition (2020, PD Lead)-Echo Buds (2019, PD Lead for Earbuds)-Echo Auto (2018)-FireTV 4k (2017)-Design, prototype, test, and debug NPI devices while maintaining extremely aggressive and fixed program schedules.-Experience with both OEM and ODM development models.-Sheet metal, cosmetic injection molded plastic (single shot, double shot, and painted), casted, compression mold, and die cut part design. -Lead DFM discussions and oversee manufacturing process development. Flex's Innovation Labs partner with customers of all sizes to help bring disruptive products and technologies to market.- Mechanical design (3D modeling/2D drawings in SolidWorks) and rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting, machining).- Managing Engineer for NPI builds of first gen wireless charging product. Manage all manufacturing issues, developed and implemented solutions in a timely manner.-Developed engineering test plans which included: Vibration, drop, thermal, IP, mechanical stress testing. Oversaw test execution and provided detailed solutions when tests failed.-Developed effective thermal solutions to reduce hot spots and optimize product performance. Researched and selected materials to minimize rigidity and weight on one product (two of product management's top goals), successfully reducing hot spot by 15% in consumer product - bringing surface temperature into spec. -Technology integration: Seamlessly integrating sensors, modules, lighting, and other technologies into textile/soft good products. Member of the first team to conceptualize, develop, and prototype the US Olympic Team light up jacket worn by Michael Phelps at 2016 Rio Olympics Opening Ceremony.-Developed initial architecture and early prototypes for Flex's first White Label product, a portable wireless charger for cell phones. Successfully pitched idea to executive management and gained company funding for full development. Served as lead engineer - collaborated with external industrial design firm as well as engineering and manufacturing teams in the US and Asia.-Areas of expertise: Wireless charging (Qi), optics and lighting, energy harvesting, textiles+tech, battery/PCB/display/LED integration.

Vascular Biosciences was founded to develop products that enhance and prolong human life. VBS's endoarterial biopsy catheter is the world's first interventional device to obtain a biopsy sample from the inner layers of an artery in a minimally invasive fashion. Biopsies obtained help better diagnose, monitor, and treat vascular-based diseases.- Designed, prototyped, and led testing of an accessory devices to stabilize catheter during biopsy retrieval process. Implementation resulted in 40% increase in biopsy retrieval rate and played a critical role in obtaining FDA clinical trial approval.- Created experiments to audit manufacturing process stability. Analyzed results, made process and manufacturing fixture improvements, resulting in decrease of material scrap and decrease in manufacturing cycle time.-Managed and mentored team of four engineering interns. Oversaw design, prototype, and manufacturing phases of catheter packaging development.

- Led tear down of twelve smart devices, ranging from smart watches to bluetooth earpieces to smart coffee makers. Analyzed product features, ingress protection, display integration, component manufacturing methods and device level assembly process flow. Ultimately prepared reports for Senior level engineering staff to help enhance products Flextronics designs for its customers .- Materials analysis with FTIR and EDX- Provided DFM for sheet metal, MIM, and plastic injection molded parts for several consumer products in development.
