Amazon.com – Product Safety and Compliance Team• In my first 8 months on the team, I delivered multiple key and brand new projects in parallel under tight deadlines as the team’s solo Frontend developer working with numerous program & product managers and 9 backend engineers across 3 teams: 1) allowing Amazon sellers in the EU to be compliant with Circular Economy regulations, 2) allowing Amazon sellers in JP to declare product values, 3) Manage Your Compliance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7hS2Jg2yhc) – a new portal for sellers to easily upload and track product compliance documents. Currently, over 10k sellers have used this functionality to allow tens of billions of dollars of products to be sold legally.• As the Frontend lead for a team of 13, ensured a high bar for code maintainability, accessibility, responsiveness, and other best practices with high code quality and >90% test coverageCreated the frontend and middleware service for the brand-new Recalls and Product Safety Alert Page: amazon.com/your-product-safety-alerts, working independently on the frontend, and with 2 backend engineers on the middleware service. The page allows millions of Amazon customers to take action on product recalls, and receives tens of thousands of customers per day• Managed and mentored a Frontend engineer intern for 3 months to successfully deliver a working prototype for the Amazon mobile app’s Product Safety Alerts Page, with an internal framework built on React Native, leading to the intern receiving a full-time offer• Led DynamoDB design for the Amazon Product Detail Page to ensure EU legal compliance and enable tens of millions of dollars worth of product to be sold.
