On 10 October 2016, SABMiller was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev in a transaction valued at US$104 billion making it the fourth largest M&A deal globally and largest ever takeover of a UK-listed company.I was responsible for the Latin American chapter of the global strategy for the category with great success on implementing bold initiatives in countries under scope (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Panama, El Salvador, and Honduras). Leader of the malt and barley team of the region and a cross functional group that oversees the strategic priorities of the category while supports the technical and procurement join initiatives. Accountable of a budget of $160m per year across the region.- Accurate budget construction based on in depth understanding of relevant markets and sound analytical capabilities.- Executed initiatives that reduced cost base of the category in more than $5m per year.- Completed various projects that improved working capital position adding more than $40m in the category - Drive the optimal use of malting assets across the region with cost reductions of more than $6m per year
