Jorge is a seasoned corporate executive with extensive professional experience, in the U.S. corporate marketing sector, where he held various executive positions with Fortune 50, and Fortune 500 multinational companies and, thereafter as entrepreneur, investor and marketing and management executive, CEO. After fifteen yrs in the U.S. corporate sector, Jorge became entrepreneur, pioneer in U.S. minority marketing and advertising services start-up firms, as one of three founders, partners/owners of Mingo-Jones-Garrido (1984), subsidiary company of Mingo-Jones Advertising (1977); a Black and Hispanic owned national advertising and marketing service firm. Jorge is also a pioneer organizer in Hispanic population segments. He was Keynote Speaker, in 1985, at the first convention held in California to organize the Mexican American Grocers´ Association (MAGA). He executed the only Ltd. Partnership Agreement, as General Partner, a joint venture with U.S. Hispanic Chambers of Commerce for the national organization of the Quincentenary Celebration in U.S., in 1992, as assigned by the White House, to commemorate the Discovery of the American Hemisphere. In 2013, he was elected Delegate to the Florida Democratic State Convention. Jorge founded Spanish Wine Alliance Group, S.L. to plan the elaboration and marketing of wine from local vineyards in Fermoselle. He is currently anticipating and looking forward to his personal participation, commitment and contribution to the socio-economic, political transition of his native homeland, country of origin, Cuba. The GARRIDO family surname before some of its members immigrated to Cuba, in 1907, descends from Fermoselle dating back prior to the fifteenth century.
