BP is one of the largest foreign investors in Angola, having invested approximately $30 billion by the end of 2016, and with plans to continue to invest well into the future.• Led the drilling of 7 deep and ultra-deep water development wells in PSVM field, 2 exploration and 1 appraisal wells in Block 24, 19 and 31 in deep water; 1700m to 2100m.• Traced and resolved critical issues to enhance operational efficiency, minimizing risk factors and supported the establishment of robust change management and QA procedures. Liaising with Geoscience & Engineering Departments & external vendors on project performance. • Designed and developed well planning processes including project execution for drill ship ENSCO DS6, implementing a New Well Delivery Process as a component of BPs Engineering and Technical Practices, and surpassing regulatory requirements in country.• Integral team member for the implementation of behavior based safety practices leading to the successful execution of projects with no LTAs.• Utilized significant competence developed from hard rock drilling to improve efficiency and safety with Angolan pre-salt wells, Katambi and Pandora.• Successfully drilled through significant anhydrite layers and carbonates in the reservoir section, drilling through mobile salts, whilst ensuring wellbore stability. -
