Hello and welcome to my profile!I'm a PhD and aspiring data analyst with experience in using statistics for data analysis in science. I have completed a boot camp to accelerate my learning in SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Python. My portfolio showcases how I utilize these technologies to generate actionable recommendations for increasing revenue, profits, conversion rates, and engagement for any company.Throughout my 10 years of professional experience, I have honed my communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills in various positions. For instance, as a professor at ICESI University in Colombia, I not only communicated with students and department heads on a daily basis but also provided consultancy to external companies seeking solutions to their problems. This ranged from routine analysis to equipment acquisition. On one occasion, I successfully resolved a chemical analysis for a paper company, saving them over 5k pounds on unnecessary equipment.Furthermore, I volunteered in London, collaborating with the Philips Pharmacy team to organize appointments for COVID vaccines. This experience allowed me to directly interact with people, communicate the details about procedures, address concerns about vaccine safety, and proactively assist with booking appointments. Thanks to my contributions, the team was able to provide support and double the number of patients receiving vaccines during the pandemic.My life experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of adaptability, as I have lived in two different countries where I had to start from scratch, familiarize myself with new cultures, and effectively communicate in languages other than Spanish. In Brazil, where I pursued my master's and PhD degrees, I collaborated with professionals from diverse fields to develop innovative materials for ocular infection treatment. I presented my findings at international scientific events in Cuba and the USA, as well as in globally renowned journals. The UK is now my current place of residence, where I came after completing my studies, and it is where I aspire to generate a positive impact with my unique and cheerful attitude.I am thrilled to be in the UK as it offers a multicultural and challenging environment for developing my professional profile.
