Services include identifying gaps in present policies and procedures and providing solutions to remediate identified weaknesses.Introduced a streamlined approach to identifying potential gaps in HIPAA requirements within application security by replacing a 47 page questionnaire with a document gathering template which helped reduce assessment timelines by 25 percent.

The position's responsibilities included the planning and coordination of a Filemaker implementation. This included project resourcing, identifying critical path and dependencies, timing, identifying functionality needs, testing, etc. Additional duties included compiling data for reporting to local and federal reporting compliance needs.

Responsibilities:Reduced Segregation Of Duties (SOD) risk by coordinating the efforts of the ERP team with Business Process Owners (HR, FICO, Supply Chain) and Change Management Teams. Ensured the Security Team stayed on schedule against the Security Project Plan, as well as the Overall Project Plan and provided team status to the Project Management Office (PMO) on a weekly basis. • Met daily with the PMO to review risks, issues and action items for implementation teams and ensured efforts to resolve action items were coordinated amongst the teams. Worked with the PMO to ensure the project plan was created and provided to the implementation team and used to ensure the project successfully met budget and timeline requirements.• Collected security role definitions from Business Process teams and built user roles for position based security for the ECC 6.0 system. Assisted the Change Management Team to develop and align security roles to positions identified by the client. • Provided project team members support to ensure they had the proper system access to perform their duties. • Member of the Change Board whose responsibilities included determining which additional items out of the original project scope to include with the overall project scope.

Provided SAP expertise in assessing the adequacy of configureable controls found within business processes being reviewed. Projects included: • • Documented JSOX (Japanese version of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404) processes and procedures for a multinational Japanese Company (Sharp) with production facilities in Mexico. • Performed controls documentation and testing of key automated (SAP) business processes for various clients (Electronic Arts, inVidia, eBay) in order to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley secrtion 404. My knowledge of SAP helped the clients identify automated risks and provided additional expertise the client was lacking.

• Identified IT solutions needed for the Finance/Accounting Department by coordinating needs of the Finance/Accounting Department with those of the IT Department's overall IT infrastructure. As a result, the Finance/Accounting Department gained needed visibility to obtain IT solutions that helped improve efficiencies and accuracy of input.• Redesigned the SAP user access controls to eliminate identified widespread instances of SOD conflicts and conform to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and industry best practices. This exercise directly remediated noted weaknesses and helped Tivo pass subsequent audit reviews by external auditors.

Developed and implemented Application Certification (AC) methodology for Hitachi which ensured IT projects for a large multi-national peripherals manufacturer addressed the following areas: General Computer Controls, Application Controls, Project Planning, Project Testing, and Data Conversion/Interface Testing. • Implemented SAP user access and identified and implemented business process controls for a large SAP - FICO implementation (Farmers) to help safeguard data and improve efficiencies. • Conducted several business cycle reviews of SAP for multiple clients covering the revenues/receivables, purchasing/payables processes as well as the BASIS module analyzing business processes including order processing, invoicing, cash receipting, goods receipt management and ledger maintenance. • Coordinated a large Data Conversion effort for a large manufacturer (Storage Technology) that included incorporating multiple sources of data from various systems into a single application. During this process faulty fixed asset data transfers were identified, fixing Material Master data transfers allowing an on time go-live.• Identified needed controls for a large entertainment client (Disney) for the purchases to payables business cycle as well as for project systems. Control design addressed needs across multiple divisions and geographies and supported over 150,000 endusers.• Produced a work accelerator used throughout the organization to help identify risks, controls and best practices for the procure to pay process (which touches on the FI/CO, MM, IM and AM modules) and trained other professionals in an international environment on how to use the work accelerator effectively.

Jorge performed duties for two clients in this time period:Guidant Corporation: SAP team member serving as the team lead for the Accounts Receivable (AR) which indluced heading the Regression Testing effort , properly identifying system test criteria and ensuring test results supported successful transition to new system, and that end users were trained for their new duties. Over 12,000 customers were notified of a new lockbox which resulting in 98% of all payments being sent to the proper lockbox the first week of the change.Applied Materials:Resolving unpaid AR balances (> 150 days) by proposing and expediting corrective action on discrepancies noted between client and customer resulting in a 56% recuction in extended AR balances, a reduction of $1.9M on a beginning balance of $3.3M.
