 HACU National Internship Program responsibilities:o Develop and cultivate candidate pipelines for the HACU National Internship Program (HNIP), which places over 350 students annually in federal and corporate internships with an emphasis on serving Latinos, students with disabilities, and veterans. o Build relationships with key campus administrators, faculty, and student leaders.o Institute innovative and cost-efficient methods of reaching out to key audiences to recruit qualified candidates in accounting, business, computer science, and STEM. o Prescreen internship applicants and source to hiring managers with partner firms. o Manage relationships with seventeen corporate partners including Deloitte, GE, Goldman Sachs and Lockheed Martin.  Manage all aspects of the HACU Scholarship Program, which over the past 5 years has awarded over 500 scholarships totaling over $900,000 to students across the nation.  Organize HACU Annual Conference Student Track, a three-day career development program for over 400 undergraduate students, and biannual regional STEM summits. This includes coordinating program logistics, managing relationships with corporate and federal sponsors, and managing university outreach to attract qualified candidates.  Manage Student Services staff, including corporate campus recruitment team, and advise federal recruitment team.  Build relationships with new firms to negotiate and secure new funding sources for Student Services programs.

Between 2009 and 2013 our applicant number and placements increased, most significantly with students in high need academic fields, including accounting and technology.-Efforts include developing and facilitating an on-campus recruitment schedule, presenting at major conferences, and instituting innovative and cost-efficient methods of reaching out to key audiences (e.g. faculty, staff, and student organizations) to recruit qualified candidates. -Conduct targeted recruiting, which focused on populations including Latinos, students with disabilities, and veterans.-Prescreen and source internship applicants for five corporate HNIP accounts. -Manage marketing and promotion, online application, and database review and award process of the HACU Scholarship Program, which provides over $100,000 in aid annually to college students across the nation.
