About Jorge Cano Martínez

In my years as an undergraduate, master and doctoral student I have tried to absorb as much as possible of everything that surrounds me. My specialty is the development of software for power generation systems and energy markets, both predictive and economic-energy optimization. That is why lately I have been closely linked to active demand management because it combines the two branches.During the last year, I have been working on the design and constitution of local markets and energy communities, from the technical point of view, but also financially. I have also been supporting in the coordination and development of two European H2020 projects.I am currently working at ITE, where I am deeply involved in the activities of our center, leading and promoting several initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency. My main focus includes the addition of new services, algorithms and cutting-edge technologies, ensuring that our team is always at the forefront of technological development.In addition, I actively participate in the dynamics of our department, proposing and implementing improvements in our agile and scrum methodologies. My goal is to create a collaborative and efficient work environment, where best practices and constant innovation are the norm.Personally, I am very extrovert, with a great desire to learn, passionate about sports, music and nature.If I had to choose a word to define myself it would be practical, because I always try to associate my approaches to real life.
