Most recently serving as the Antonio Madero Professor for the Study of Mexico at Harvard University, Jorge Dominguez is now in retirement after more than 45 years of teaching. In addition to his distinguished teaching and administrative career at Harvard, Jorge Dominguez is an accomplished author and editor. Mr. Dominguez’s recent publications include a chapter and co-editing credits on The Construction of Democracy - Lessons from Practice and Research, published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2007. Other recent chapter and co-editing contributions include Consolidating Mexico’s Democracy - The 2006 Presidential Campaign in Comparative Perspective, published in 2009, and Constructing Democratic Governance in Latin America, published in 2008.In addition to his written work, Mr. Dominguez has had a long administrative career at Harvard, where he served as the chair of the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies and as chair of the Committee on Latin American and Iberian Studies, among other leadership roles.
