Supply Chain runs in my veins. My family goes back to a fourth-generation supply chain professionals, way back in the 1930’s when my maternal great grandfather got patent number 53 as a customs agent and started a brokerage firm in Piedras Negras, Mexico. I am originally from Monterrey, Mexico the third largest city of the country where the biggest industrial region is located. In my background you can see the “Cerro de la Silla” (Saddle Mountain), that represents the city. This large metropolitan area, houses the best engineering school in the country, The Monterrey Institute of Technology (my alma mater) and also provided me with a lot of exposure to a manufacturing environment that I fell in love with since I was 16 when I got my first summer job in a line at a maquiladora factory. This is how I became a Supply Chain professional with expertise in S&OP implementations, supply management, forecasting systems, inventory optimization, transportation, and warehouse management that helps the business align their objectives with the factories and plants. During my early years, I developed a hands-on approach that generated a deep understanding of Purchasing, Inventory & Production planning. Plus, experience in ERP implementations in an SAP environment. Thanks to my bilingual and bicultural executive background had the ability to manage Operations that includes 4 plants in Mexico with over 4,000 people in total. Where organizational structures and KPI’s were standardized and deployed. With more than 20+ years of experience in a manufacturing driven setting in the construction and plumbing industry on multinational companies in an Omni-channel environment that includes retail customers like The Home Depot, Lowes, Wholesale customers like Fergusson and e-commerce customers like Amazon. I have worked under different business environments like privately held companies, equity firms and public trading global companies, including the transition between them. Since moving to the US and becoming a citizen of this great country, I have taken advantage of this land of opportunity that has given me so much. Due to my desire for continuous learning and education, this has driven me to develop a high level of general management acumen with the help of formal education from the top universities in the country.
