The Manager implements all store processes including employee supervision, staffing inventory management, stocking and receiving, paperwork, and store needs.

• Help maintain a clean well-organized store with a customer-first focus. • Assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits.• Performs stocking and cashiering functions and performs other duties as necessary to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

● Developed skills critical to success in the 21st century workforce such as leadership, operating and managing, communicating & networking, working in teams, and problem solving.● Created a college roadmap using the SMART goals method to stay on track in pursuing career objectives.● Collaborated with a cohort of 5 other participants to develop each other’s internship readiness through interactive sessions and feedback-sharing.

Success in AVID lies in a solid curriculum, the Socratic tutorial method, and motivational activities. Job as an AVID tutor: • A role model and part of the supportive system for the students. Students form strong attachments to those who are part of the program. Therefore, each tutor’s commitment to this relationship is important. • Dependable and serve as advocates for the students’ academic and social growth. The students learn to trust the tutors. Likewise, tutors need to share their enthusiasm for learning and for college as well as experiences they have gained through their hard work to inspire students to overcome their own difficulties.● Tutored a group of 6-8 junior high/high school students in various subjects twice a week. While promoting the use of their own resources to answer their presented questions and enhance their critical thinking skills. ● Coordinated with the District Director on the supervision and training of 20+ new tutors per semester, for all junior high/high schools in the Richardson school district.
