Profile bio

About Jordan Hamilton

I am a recent Graduate from Grinnell college who majored in Biological Chemistry. I have accumulated some research experience through my coursework as well as independent research projects. At the University of Botswana, in cooperation with the Biology department staff, I helped to develop a new way of mass producing a vaccine for the avian Newcastle Disease Virus using Tobacco Mosaic Virus as a plant based viral vector. As well as my research experience, I have also gained some administrative and regulatory experience through an internship with the FDA as a summer intern. During this time, I worked collaboratively with other interns, and fellows, to develop new ways to compile data on food contact substances as well as food packaging materials. During my time at Grinnell college, I became involved with student government. This experience allowed me to develop my public speaking and leadership skills as I led committee meetings about campus infrastructure improvements, and worked collaboratively with administrators to create a better campus.

Listed skills include Leadership, Chromatography, Spectroscopy, Public Speaking, and 46 others.
