In this context, analytics is used all along the way, from optimised prospecting to pro-active cash collection.We keep combining the three major dynamics of the analytical triangle (data&databases- intelligence - user experience) to drive optimisations at our customer's key business processes, with technology that is now allowing App-type and style development.In addition to our already highly optimised and automated analytics and model development approaches, we are now starting to offer integrated predictive modeling platforms for analytics automation.

A concise overview of more than 20 years of data science solutions.

This role followed naturally on my previous position in D&B. The geographic scope however was a bit larger. The journey however continued, with even more customer projects being added and new experiences gained and developed.As part of a more global team, it also included working with our colleagues in the US, and finding out that in some ways, we were/are quite ahead of the US market. Support was also provided to projects in countries quite far, such as China and Mexico, as well as re-connecting to some modeling I had not done for a little while, being a prospect scoring model (incl. a relevant market assessment) for web based sales for one of our global customers.

Putting all of my knowledge and expertise to the benefit of the customers of D&B, combining the power of of advanced statistical analysis with in-depth process and operational knowledge. All activities involve custom built solutions.With pride, the solutions developed have helped customers to drive significant results at their end, achieve operational excellence, and unlocked new opportunities for them. We have even had impact on entire industry segments. Many projects involved a great degree of creativity and the most of our expertise and experience. It has also allowed us to develop even more advanced and innovative analytical solutions. To host all of these anlytical solutions and really make them work for the customers, we developed also range of new software solutions/products.In this light, I have played a key role in the development of this part of our business, and my activities have impacted our project management and custom development teams (IT). It has also elevated D&B from a data provider to a true service provider.As such, I have had an important motivational, inspirational and development impact on my colleagues, whether in (senior) management, business consultants, and sales. Over the years, the list of projects became quite long. A short overview of typical projects is given hereby : - Credit Scoring and automation of credit risk management processes. - Development of blended models for SME. - Corporate Rating development and pan-european balance sheet and P&L normalisation, with advanced financial modelling on top - Integration of credit scoring with press analytics/text mining. - Credit limit modeling & automation of active credit exposure management. - Credit rating and limit development on sparse data in developing markets (no defaults, and still a statistically built score). - Global exposure and A/R management systems (cash flow management scorecards).

Responsible for the Credit Analytics/Basel II team of AXA Bank Europe. Reporting to the Vice President of the Board of AXA Bank Europe.Headed up a team of 9 analysts and modelers, and dotted lines with scoring analysts in AXA Bank Hungary.With the team, I was responsible for the development, maintentance and research of the Basel II credit risk models of the bank, and as such the capital basis and the provisioning level of the bank and its subsidiaries. A key component was ensuring the AIRB status of the bank.We also provided analytic support and expertise for a host of other areas in the bank, e.g.:- supporting our marketing team on business development: new client aqcuisition processes - lending critical project management and anlytics for the securitisation programmes of the bank- development of loan prepayment model for the ALM team Managing, coaching, training and development of team members. Elevating their overall knowledge and experience level, hereby increasing the impact of the team on the bank. Introduction of best practices in credit scoring/analytics from previous experiences. Development of a novel approach for LGD modelling.Provide strategic and tactical support and development to AXA Bank Hungary: drive the development of operational credit scoring systems and optimised credit review workflows for AXA Bank Hungary (endorsed by the Board), in order to equip AXA Bank Hungary with the tools, processes and skills to deal with the crisis situation at hand. Establishment of a new IFRS compliant provisioning framework for AXA Bank Hungary (also applicable to other branches/countries).

Served as Chairman of the Board. P&L responsibility.The focus with Credit Scorer was on the integration of macro economic forecasting into credit scoring/risk assessment in order to generate true 'forward looking' scores and allow scenario analysis. Unique development, with proven tangible results.Developed in 2007-2008, this 'forward looking' is now a key feature in e.g. IFRS9 for both financial institutions and corporates.

Creation of new scoring/analytics team for the Bisnode Credit & Risk Division. MD level, reporting to the CEO of the Division. Drafting and implementing a 3-year strategy and vision to take Bisnode from a pure data company to an intelligence company. Structuring workflows and raising analytics productivity. Attracting, recruiting and development of top analytics talent across multiple countries. Strategic innovation at the heart and core of risk analytics, proven highly useful and succesful in generic and customer specific development projects.Support, coach, train and structurally raise knowledge for country based analytics teams, management teams and sales teams. Winner of the Bisnode 'Elite Performance Award' in 2007.Representation of Bisnode in international bodies such as e.g. ISO, ECAI/Basell II and elaboration of relationships with capital market Rating Agencies.

Responsible for the development of the credit organisation of Ingram Micro Europe towards the 'best-in-class' credit function in the industry, and to establish the credit function as a main driver of revenue and profitability for the company.Highly practical applications of analytice to the business, e.g. : - development and roll-out of automated decisioning and credit limit monitoring tools for the SME customer base- development of fraud detection scorecardsDevelopment of an innovative payment performance measurement, providing operational, tactical and strategic insights in customer payment performance, up to tracking liquitidity trends in the markets. Roll out of financial analysis software and training of key associates on its use. Implementation in this tool of innovative financial analysis ratios. Management of 2 direct reports. Coaching, developing and training the credit management and collection teams in the EU countries.Obtained 6-Sigma Green Belt; in training for Black Belt.Earned respect and acknowledgement from central and country management. Earned respect from credit insurer, and regarded as being advanced. Helped Ingram to reduce spend on insurance premium due to increased risk management capabilities (lower credit losses and better risk management). Solutions implemented proved to be crisis-robust.

Responsible for the development and maintenance of D&B's generic credit scoring systems across Europe, and supporting D&B's Global and Major Customers across the globe.Director (AVP) level, reporting to the Vice President Global Scoring in the US. Creation, management and development of a new team of modellers located across Europe.Played a key role in setting up the analytics consultants teams in the EU countries, critical for the development of the analytics business. Training and coaching of the GMA sales teams. Contributing to year-on-year double digit growth within this segment.Co-development of global scoring standards. Establishing best-in-class processes for model development. Elaborating innovative approaches for model development.
