Since formation of the Atlantic Shores joint venture I was appointed as officer and senior leader of the new company. Atlantic Shores is to develop, construct and ultimately operate Offshore lease OCS-A 0499 on the US East Coast – a large offshore wind lease of 180,000+ acres that is to be the home of >3.0 GW of renewable offshore power for New Jersey and New York customers. I have accountability for all commercial & financial matters for Atlantic Shores, which include all commercial offtake bids, finance, ERP and system implementation, bank engagements, economics, business case & supply chain matters- among others. All efforts so far led to Atlantic Shores Project 1 being awarded one of the largest renewable power offtake contracts globally; a 20-year offtake contract for 1510 MW of renewable power with New Jersey.During 2019 - 2022 the team has grown from ten people at JV formation, to >90 team members by mid 2022.In 2022 we entered the next growth cycle of Atlantic Shores with the successful Bight auction outcome (adding another 79,000 acres to our offshore wind portfolio) and further progress towards our Atlantic Shores Project 1 FID.

Responsible to develop and manage Shell’s supply chain relationships with active and future contractors for the Shell Wind business (onshore & offshore - incl. M&A). Accountable to deliver supply chain superiority for Shell in Wind through strong category, concept select & project delivery work. Directly involved in all Shell offshore wind deals and bids during Q2 2017- Q1 2019.

In this development role as business advisor to the EVP Contracting & Procurement I provided strategic advice and frontline insights to Fabian Ziegler, EVP C&P who heads-up Shell's procurement (>2400 people, ~45 bln spend) across all Shell businesses. Besides my work as business advisor I led strategic projects (typically 1-4 months) to further enhance supply chain delivery and ultimately increase value ($) delivery and savings.

Contract & Procurement Mgr for the Majnoon FCP Gas project, ensuring safe & timely delivery of various goods and services to enable the gas development of the Majnoon field in Iraq.I was accountable for managing a team that engages with the Contractor market (international, regional and Iraqi), develops commercial contracting strategies & tactics for major scope items, sets up tender exercises and single source negotiations. Ultimately my team selected, awarded & managed all Contractors (with a total value >500mln USD) within approved budgets.As the procurement lead for the project I was an integral part of the Project LT that delivered the opportunity in Iraq. The role also involved significant external stakeholder management with Iraqi officials. We delivered Train 1 "first gas" completion in record time in frontier country: From Concept Select to First Gas in <20 months.

During 2013 I worked as the Contract Engineer managing the performance of the Majnoon EPCM contractor (total value > 350 mln USD). The EPCM contrator (Petrofac) was the central contractor in the delivery of Majnoon first oil - which was achieved in October 2013.

Performed a dual commercial/ economical role (50/50) based in Stavanger – Norway. Responsible economist for developments at Gjoa & Asterix fields (2011) and Ormen Lange (2012). Lead economist for various other developments & opportunities. Led commercial negotiations for NGL storage deal. Part of Vestprosess commercial committee, and deputy-rep of Shell in its management committee.

Managed the portfolio of Shell Upstream NBD opportunities, Initiated the scouting of new opportunities, Supplied analyses of the portfolio to senior management, Project managed a key initiative to improve Shell’s understanding of National Oil Companies.

Created and implemented the M&A integration strategy for an acquired Canadian/Chinese company (on location). Provided thought leadership in technology & innovation area, Supplied senior leaders and specialists with competitive intelligence, Analysed new investment opportunities.

Overall management of the InterCompany Association (ICA), which brings together Young Professionals from over 45 companies based in Netherlands- including Shell. Developed key professional competences as financial lead of the organisation.

Governed Amnesty International NL section, Developed human rights strategy for NL section, Represented Amnesty to the broader movement and community in general, Created a strong understanding of leading grassroots organisations, Exercised financial control on budget > 30 million USD, Implemented key changes in governance structure.

Researched the potential use of technology spinouts to monetize technology; a redesign of the technology strategy. Grade: 9.0 (10-point scale). Received a job offer from team to join as a Strategy Consultant afterwards.
