I have a solid theoretical basis, but also a good feeling for practical engineering to solve real problems. Data And Signal Processing Specialist
Within the R&D team of Optics11 I analyze the sensor data and contribute to improvements in the data processing pipeline and software. Low-level processing of the optical signal improves the accuracy and precision of the measured physical quantities, such as acoustic pressure. Higher level processing provides our customers with functional data such as position of acoustic sources under water or areas in a transformer that needs maintainance because of defects.

In my interdisciplinary PhD project I worked in close collaboration with plant biologists. This interdisciplinary collaboration taught me to understand the demands of end-users and ensure that my work is relevant for them.I defended my thesis 'Microscopic 3D plant imaging with high-resolution optical coherence tomography' on 6 December 2023.
