• Execute all the functions and activities associated with the managerial cost accounting area, such as budget preparation, standard cost determination, manufacturing variance analysis, financial projections and forecasts.• Ensure proper tracking of Puerto Rico budgets for Abbott Vascular PR.• Ensure internal controls are appropriately designed and implemented per Corporate policies and procedures to ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded.• Responsible for the supervision of the general accounting and cost accounting groups; includes supervising and coaching properly trained staff, capable of satisfactorily performing the required responsibilities of the manufacturing site's finance functional area.• Responsible for the preparation, development and presentation of operating financial plans and quarterly updates.• Responsible for the coordination, gathering and recording of the necessary financial data in the accounting records to assure the timely issuance of the manufacturing entity's monthly financial statements and Corporate reporting packages.• Responsible for the economical evaluation of request for capital expenditures and monitoring of approvals, cash commitments and timely capitalization of assets.• Participation in the identification, financial evaluation and implementation of cost reduction projects and initiatives.• Assist local management teams in the financial analysis, cost projections and explanations of variances from manufacturing standard costs budgeted.• Active participation and collaboration with operations in business strategy meetings such as management's tier meetings, monthly performance evaluation, among others.

• Provide business finance and analytical support to functional area leaders for the site's strategic business planning, risk assessment, and actual performance analysis processes.• Prepare annual budgets and periodic projections; support and monitor the strategic plan to meet or exceed the financial commitments set by such FP&A deliverables and the Company KPI's.• Responsible for new products and annual standard costs development.• Responsible for the month-end close process, including the review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting packages to Corporate, and required commentary.• Oversee the design and application of the internal controls and act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits.• Responsible for GAAP research and point of contact for technical accounting issues.• Stay abreast of changes in reporting requirements, interpret and apply their effect on the Company.• Manage a staff of finance professionals in developing the necessary financial reports to satisfy the Company’s internal and external reporting requirements.• Manage special projects, including but not limited to business combinations.

• Responsible for the transfer of the entity’s finance and accounting functions from the US to PR.• Preparation and submission of FP&A key deliverables such as budgets and projections.• Preparation and presentation of month-end reporting package to Corporate, such as BS/P&L commentary, KPI’s, finance review presentation decks, among others.• In charge of the operations finance lead responsibilities for all functional areas stakeholders, serving as a value-adding middle man between our operations and finance teams.• Responsible for internal and external financial reporting, as well as oversight over the entity’s compliance with local statutory governmental fillings.• Creation, implementation, and oversight of internal controls over financial reporting.• Responsible for the operation’s finance and accounting internship program coordination and oversight. Other oversight and supervision responsibilities over external consultants engaged to coordinate and manage the day to day responsibilities of external statutory audits.
