The Queens NYC Business Solutions Center is a program managed by the NYC Department of Small Business Services and is operated by Next Street.• Worked with more than 300 small business owners seeking capital for their businesses, successfully closing 135 loans, equating more than $13.5 million in funds awarded to small businesses in NYC.• Collaborate closely with NYC Department of Small Business Services, Capital Access program management to offer insight into the small business climate in Queens. • Conduct financial planning for small businesses by analyzing cash flow statements, P&L statements, and balance sheets.• Manage Finance Assistance program for the Queens Business Solutions Center, leading a team of three.• Built, launched and manage the Veteran’s Initiative pilot program, supporting Veteran-owned businesses in Queens.• Determine financial strength and secure financing, matching clients with lending partners that align with the business.• A trusted adviser to small business owners, reviewing and revising business plans, financial projections, and developing growth strategies, to improve business performance and financing opportunities.• Working knowledge of wide-range of products, procedures, and services offered by network of over 40 traditional financial institutions, mission-based lenders, and private lenders.

• Bring awareness to, and organize residents of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY on immigration issues, income inequality, affordable housing and displacement concerns, and advocate on behalf of marginalized groups.• Connect low-income families with local CDCs that provide help with financial resources, legal counsel, emergency medical or food assistance, substance abuse counseling, and job training.• An active member of several CB7 committees that include: Economic Development/Waterfront, Ability & Access (Vice-Chair), Capital & Expense, and Housing committees.
