Among other tasks, I work preparing the foundation for the digital transformation that the company will face soon:- Implement the European data center startup under colocation and hybrid cloud schemes, looking for suppliers, professional services, contractors.As member of the Transformation Committee, I own the mission of changing the decision culture to a data-driven approach, so I lead, among other, the following projects:- Enhance the internal BI/Analytics and reporting tools for the clients and providers.- Big Data project on top on Cloudera CDH: We create a Data Lake which is being filled with the major part of operations information, SCADA data sent from factories, M2M data, etc. It allowed us to improve maintenance (7%) because we base it in equipment conditions instead of in fixed schedules. Reporting to the CEO, and as part of Board of Directors, I am responsible for setting the strategic vision, financial planning, technical operations, direction and execution of strategic technology initiatives for the company as well as veil by the alignment between business and IT portfolio, through different countries and near 200 POS in the world (Europe/LATAM/Middle East), taking responsibility for:- Maintenance and evolution of standard business software : ERP, Business Intelligence(Analysis / Reporting), CRM, POS, PDM.- IT and Communications Infrastructure.- Negotiation (RFP, RFI) and suppliers monitoring (SLAs) / Outsourcing.- Work closely with other CXOs to review the KPIs, SLAs, service requests and incidents to act accordingly.- Organize human resources defining the roles and choosing the right people to perform the duties of each position.- Internet/Intranet/Extranet management. Reporting to the E-commerce Director, in the "Innovation & Commercial Systems" dept., I was the technical leader for the E-commerce systems in the second largest airline in Spain. Management mainly the performance of the Web booking system, and following areas:- E-commerce Software Development(SiteCore).- Online IT and Communications infrastructure.- Decision and Business Intelligence Systems.- Cross-functional Team management.- Represent Spanair, each quarter in Frankfurt, into "Online systems evolution working committee" of the Star Alliance group of airlines.Some successful projects:- Technical design, from scratch, of the web booking system, overseeing the control and optimization of communication systems, as well as the proper functioning of software for security, performance and quality.- Redesign of the hosting environment to align all departments of the company, thus maintaining the consistency of IS and reducing costs, risks, start up times of projects and maintenance problems.- Implementation of the new BackOffice for the loyalty program(CRM) and other management information systems, ensuring proper integration with financial / accounting system (SAP).- SEO strategy design and execution.
