Based in the market study, I started by finding the first customers and making the first business. I was also in charged for more than 100 technical interviews.During this working experience, I improved my knowledge in business development, hiring process and international management

Galicia - Spain

As Stamping Process engineer, belonging to Products Development Department, I was responsible for Feasibility Analysis of new parts, assuring customers’ specifications. I was responsible for all steps of Stamping Tools Design, evaluating and approving all stages of the process until blueprint stage. During this process I dealt with the quality Assurance, Production or Technical Departments, as well as customer´ interface for changes or updating. Control Fixtures, conception, design approval, production follow up and final approval was another important task. I used CAD software such as Solidworks, Autodesk, or quality analysis.It was a great experience being part of this CAD design group, analyzing extensively and deep, the technical solutions proposed by supplier and discussing with them the alternatives. Working with China and Korean suppliers was a plus for me, due to the communication challenges and 8 hours’ time zone difference.Living and working in Spain, it was also a great part of this experience because the enrichment of Spanish living way.

This was a fantastic experience as volunteer where I learned how to help others and the value of time.It was one-year program as a volunteer @ Humana People to People NGO, splinted in three parts:First part: training and education @ Boston School, USA;Second part: campus activity @ Salvador da Bahia, Humana Brazil;Tirth part: reporting and sharing information @USA Schools and partners.

As a Project Manager, leading a New Product Team we took part of Ford Connect project.I oversaw planning, follow and approval of new production means, product´s documentation, prototype’s delivery, first tool parts delivery, dimensional control reports and customer’s final approval.Coordination of customers, suppliers and plant trials were also under my responsibility including customer final PPAP approval process.I used software like MS Project, Catia viewer, SAP, DIM (and customer specific APIs)It was a very intensive experience, due to the short time of the project and the number of different tasks. I learned a lot by working with Ford procedures and their organized methodology.

Ovar, Portugal

I leaded the Industrialization Department in charged of new products development, acquisition of new equipment and facilities upgrade for welding, stamping, painting, automation, robots, APQP, FMEA and LEAN. I was also coordinating the information between Kirchhoff plants and the headquarters. Preparations of annual budget and strategic investments plan for equipment and buildings, were also part of my role. Being part of a big international Group, with a German philosophy was a very rich and empowering experience. Participating in top level decisions was very grateful as well as the knowledge I got about industrial facilities and equipment. The high level of team relationship achieved was the best reward I took from this job.

Belo Horizonte, Brazil / Castelo Branco, Portugal

The goal of this project was to implement a Vicort branch in Brazil, in the forest machinery industries. We start by finding partners to create a joint-venture and define a strategy to get in Brazilian market, followed by making the market study and business plan.I made the first customers contacts and machine trials in order to find customer´s needs and adjust the products (tropicalizing) accordingly. In sequence I coordinate the new product design, prototype building and first serial units’ trial on the field.Adapting an existing product to a specific market needs, was a very riche experience considering the Product Development Process from A to Z.I also discovered the awesome forest areas of Brazil and their fantastic resilient and joyful people.

I tried to implement a Master Franchising in Brazil market. I learned how to create a new company from the scratch, from legal viewpoint, market analyses, strategic business plan and business development. I got some lessons learned from this experience, namely about Brazil business culture and the importance of the economical context in a business development process.

It was a great honor for me Swedish Steel relied on me to open their business office in Portugal. It last for 7 years, split in Sweden, Portugal and Brazil.We introduced the high strength steel (HSS) in Portugal, supporting the automotive industry challenges and making a breakthrough in steel business. Innumerous activities and challenges were overcome from a logistic distribution flow, to technical seminars, implementation of marketing strategy, steel price contest, university courses, and a lot (lot) more.This was my first work with an international company, with a Scandinavian methodologies and organized business structure from where I learned to plan, to listen to the customers and from steel business in all aspects.The last challenge was in Brazil, where I helped to create the local Technical Customers Service advising and teaching the local customers how to make use of HSS benefits.
