As La Costa Ecuador Project Director I managed a team of one Program Coordinator and one Health and Wellness Coordinator in collaboratively planning & executing 3-week long program sessions during the summerProgram Planning & Set -Up: -Visited all program sites during the first week on site and set up preliminary logistics with all local providers and partner agencies. -Visited/called the clinics and hospitals to fully understand COVID - 19 and other health protocols.-Lead the development of a detailed program itinerary.-Reviewed and arranged thematic curriculum to be delivered by partner agencies. Managed & coordinated execution of a small sustainable development grant in Sábana Grande, a rural community in northern Nicaragua. Project comprised the construction of composting latrines, installation of photovoltaic systems, construction of rocket stoves and video documentation.

Mentored a student group on the inaugural GLA Online Leadership Academy (Built a sense of community, set group expectations, facilitated discussions among students based on the day's learnings or prepared topics & guided students through reflection or other activities)

⦁ Led a group of 10 students together with one coleader during the TBB's Latin American Semester. This program featured deep cultural immersion with homestays, Spanish learning and cultural workshops.⦁ Cofacilitated TBB´s social impact curriculum, which in Guatemala had a strong focus on environmental justice and sustainable agriculture. Worked creatively as a team to implement a curriculum, that was both hands on (through field work with farmers) and academic, using a collection of reading material on Development Theories, Sustainability, Energy, etc. as well as the most up to date documentaries. ⦁ Mentored students in their process of accomplishing personal growth objectives, and dealing with conflicts with fellow students, or personal strugles. ⦁ Assisted in the further development of the program design and curriculum, adding a component on permaculture.⦁ Led emergency evacuation of the group out of Guatemala due to Covid-19

• Lead all in-country operations for a service learning, leadership, & global education 2-week immersion program for 550+ U.S. high school students of diverse backgrounds in 23 delegations. • Scouted & selected new city (Guaranda), which increased 2 program sites & fulfilled the organizations' top level risk management & health requirements • Led emergency expansion in Ecuador in 2018 (Nicaraguan program closed due to political crisis) with double student increase in a month’s time. • Managed budget of $420,000+ & created monthly finance reports for US leadership & local fiscal sponsor. • Worked alongside international risk manager and in country health chaperone to manage health and safety of all programs.

Comanaged hiring process of 19 diverse and multidisciplinary staff, for all program sites in Nicaragua & Ecuador.

• Streamlined environmental education programs with 5 partner institutions (1 elementary school, 3 high schools and 1 university), with a total of 150 to 200 students involved during peak school period. • Started & sustained long-term partnerships with 2 new high schools in San Jacinto and Bahia de Caraquez• Directed the design & implementation process of environmental projects to be executed by both local Eco club members & delegations of USA students. • Managed greenhouses for reproducing tropical dry forest native tree species in 2 highs-schools, with up to 2000 trees on each, and organized reforestation campaigns in natural preserves of the Ecuadorian Coast.• Coordinated 30 Eco-club members, during relief work activities after the earthquake of April-2016, including: surveying, food & water delivery, construction of 25 bamboo shelters, & implementation of emergency pedagogy dynamics for kids in affected communities.

This budget allowed head teachers to create goals for fundraising withing their schools.• Served as the main liaison between Casa Pueblito Global Education Coordinator, head teachers and host community, in order to set up complex logistics for home stays, and community service projects for each group.• Oversaw the volunteer work being done by the student group and local volunteers; in tight coordination with the community leaders. Support the coffee harvest season at Gloria Quintanilla Women’s Co-operative,’ on the Granada Department3. Rehabilitation of storage room for crops for various farmer coops in northern Nicaragua
