Key control point and governance function in the Professional Services space to ensure Visa Europe´s new Tactical Buying processes and procedures are aligned to Visa Inc.’s operating model. Responsible for the Professional Services category management and sourcing strategy, managing ~£25m spend across Europe. Key achievements:• Led the design, development and roll out of the new Procurement Engagement Interface for Visa Europe. Keeping a client focused approach and great attention to user experience – simplicity, automation and user friendly – we were labelled as “model region” by HQ. • Developed a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) within the Professional Services category across Visa Europe, which enabled business growth, for Value in Kind (VIK) related project activities. Additionally, this achieved £2M cost savings in FY19, drove supplier compliance, risk mitigation, and strengthened both internal and external relationships.

Managed a number of maintenance, goods and services contracts which support and supply our Operational Field Force across the UK. Responsible for developing and delivering the contract strategy, contract award and contract management of the Electricity Transmission business, whilst complying with EU Procurement regulations. Key achievements:• Developed and implemented an improved purchasing and validating process for the Electricity Transmission Business, after identifying inefficiencies and errors in the cost allocation process (OPEX & CAPEX), which resulted in major savings and correction of internal accounting reports.• Promoted an innovative initiative, developed a business case/investment proposal and project managed the successful delivery of a £150K project that achieved operational efficiencies, on-going savings and reduction of CO2 emissions.

Treasury Analyst in Corporate Banking Team, Global Tax and Treasury. Responsible for managing relationships with our global banking group, three credit rating agencies and numerous debt investors.Responsibilities include:• Managing the interfaces with a bank group of 22 relationship banks.• Overseeing and influencing the accuracy and tone of credit reports and managing interfaces and day to day communications with three credit rating agencies.• Communicate with numerous Debt Investors to answer any queries covering all parts of the National Grid business.Key achievements:• Successfully negotiated over £1.1bn of Credit Facilities with 20 global banks to enable continued compliance with internal liquidity and cash headroom policies. • Designed and prepared the format and content of several Debt Investor Roadshows and successfully led a $500m bond issuance.• Led the 2017 Fitch Fee Renewal and negotiated ~£100k savings.

Responsible for managing the tender processes under the NEC/FIDIC frameworks to ensure the correct balance between performance, price and risk during the contract award process.Key achievements:• Successfully led the ~£3m Project Services Tender for the Nemo Interconnector works (Over £100k savings) assessing and ensuring the contractors’ capability to deliver the work safely, in compliance with our requirements and on time.• Developed and implemented a Risk Evaluation process/tool across the Contracts Team, which resulted in efficiencies and an overall improvement in the Tender process.

As part of a two year Master’s Degree, I secured an internship in a dynamic Law Firm in Madrid.I was responsible for drafting international contracts (especially in corporate and commercial affairs), managing case files and attending customer meetings and negotiation processes. My skills and my reliable nature led me to gain the confidence of all my supervisors, so much as to substitute them in many meetings with foreign clients.As key achievement, I led the analysis, planning and negotiations of a robust bid for a competitive public tender to provide Ambulance emergency services in the Canary Islands.

As part of an enriching experience abroad, I secured a part-time internship in a law firm whilst finishing my Law Degree in Belfast. During this time I was able to better understand and experience the differences between the British and Spanish legal system.
