Working in the service industry can be a challenging field, but it has also taught me skills like communication, teamwork, customer service, problem solving, and more. While working in fast pace and high volume environment of the Sofi Stadium, I learned the importance of communication, the value of teamwork. I was a shift lead for a year where patience and resilience, and time management. Currently I am working as a Peer Advisor as well as a Student Ambassador where I am expanding all of the skills I have learned in the past as well as networking and growing as a professional. I am a first gen Latina student at Cal Poly Pomona. I am an International Business major and I am also pursuing a minor in Marketing. My goal in life has always been to travel the world. I want to experience life outside of the western hemisphere but with respect and care to other cultures. I want to work in a position where I can inspire and encourage different cultures to work together in harmony. It is important to me to find a career that will allow me to explore these different culture to benefit the company as a whole. I am always eager to learn and I am the hardest working person I know. Once my mind is set on something I will work hard until I achieve my goal .
