These expeditions are designed with specific wildlife conservation aims in mind, from identifying areas needing protection, through to implementing and assessing conservation management programes.What is unique to Operation Wallacea is that large teams of ecologists, scientists, academics and postgraduate researchers, who are specialists in various aspects of biodiversity or social and economic studies, are all concentrated at the target study sites, carrying out multiple scientific projects with the help of thousands of students from all over the world.Our projects are situated in exotic and remote locations ranging from Indonesia to the Galapagos, through the Amazon to Borneo, and they are open to the participation of volunteer students coming along with their teachers to help scientist collect their data.Our expeditions/trips are a fantastic opportunity to live, learn and work with a range of different scientists from all over the world and to actively participate in research and conservation projects.
