As a Network Engineer I possessed experience in LAN/WAN design and implementation. An understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols is needed. Possesses knowledge of network operations and protocols. Provides assistance in both software evaluations and testing of future and existing security solutions. Functions as a staff level support resource on network products and problems that are in use. Must be able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner. Proficient with installation, configuring, and operating networks in highly complex environments with specific protocols and instruct and direct those doing these tasks as well. Considered the ARNORTH KG-250 subject matter expert. Administers and manages the IPS/IDS.
