I am a PhD candidate who is interested in all forms of drug delivery, especially for underserved or quality of life conditions. I have previously worked with a variety of nanoparticle formulations such as liposomes, quatsomes, mesoporous silica and nanocrystals. In addition to this I've also worked with a variety of more traditional delivery methods: cocrystals, gels, amorphous systems and prefilled medical devices.Currently my work focuses on Ionic liquids (ILs) as a pre-formulation technique specifically with drug based ILs. My goal is to demonstrate IL formations capabilities to enable and enhance delivery of drugs with poor physicochemical properties. This includes the development of a number of lipid based oral systems, transdermal patches and ocular drops. I have an optimistic and engaged outlook striving to be effective, accurate and efficient in my work. My experience in both research and healthcare environments also gives me valuable perspectives on drug production and drug application. I am looking to work for a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company with the possibility of advancement.
